Peshawar Zalmai vs Islamabad United ::United defeated Rain in a rain-affected match, Zalmi won by 7 runs

In the fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), in a rain-affected match between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmai, Peshawar Zalmai was declared the winner by seven runs under Dickworth-Louis law.
In the match played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, the captain of Peshawar Zalmai won the toss and invited Islamabad United to bat. Gone.After losing two wickets, captain Shadab Khan came in to support Colin Monroe, and both players finished the team off with excellent play.

In the match, Peshawar Zalmai showed extremely poor fielding and dropped four to five catches from Islamabad United batsmen.

Peshawar Zalmi started chasing the target, when Kamran Akmal took a traditional aggressive approach and provided a good start to 44 with Imam ul Haq scoring 7 runs. Before Kamran Akmal could have been more dangerous, spinner Zafar Gohar, who played the first match in the league, ended his 37-run innings.

Peshawar Zalmi scored 85 runs in 9 overs for a loss of 2 wickets that the match was stopped due to rain and the umpires ordered players from both teams to return to the pavilion.


Under the Dick Worth-Louis Law, Peshawar Zalmi's team was ahead by 7 runs, and Zalmai was declared the winner without rain and United were defeated by 7 runs in the match.


Earlier, the toss of the match was delayed due to the rains and there is a rule of clouds in Rawalpindi which is expected to be affected by the rain.

The highlight of today's match is celebrating Cancer Awareness Day and on this occasion players from both teams will be wearing pink hats.

Pakistan Super League (PSL) will face Lahore Qalandars defending champion Quetta Gladiators in the second match of the day.


Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators will face off at 7pm in the second match of the day scheduled for today at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The Meteorological Department has forecast rain in both Rawalpindi and Lahore today, which could affect both matches.

Rains are forecast after 10 am in Rawalpindi and 9 pm in Lahore.

It should be remembered that the scheduled match between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League had earlier been canceled due to rain on February 29 and both teams had to settle at one point.

Zalmai has played seven matches this season, out of which he lost to Fateh Summiti, 3 and lost one match while rain fell.

On the other hand, Lahore Qalandars have won 4 out of 5 matches and won only one in 5 matches in Lahore.


Quetta Gladiators, on the other hand, have played seven matches in the tournament so far, winning 3 of them and losing 4.

It is important to note that today's match is very important for all four teams playing today to maintain the playoff hopes.
