Lahore Qalandars defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 5 wickets in the 24th match after finishing the hat-trick of victories after consecutive defeats at the beginning of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 and took third place on the points table.In the match played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Lahore Qalandars captain Sohail Akhtar won the toss and invited Peshawar Zalmi to bat.
Samith Patel once again bowled well and outscored Livingstone by a score of 10 to give it another success.

Harris Rauf took a good catch in the third wicket of Zalmai Peshawar, which resulted in Kamran Akmal scoring 12 runs for 24.

After falling three wickets initially, Shoaib Malik and young batsman Haider Ali took charge and showed great play.



Shoaib Malik and Haider Ali also completed half their centuries in a long partnership.

Both the batsmen added 116 runs in the partnership to bring the team to 140 runs that Shoaib, proudly trying to play a high shot on the ball of David Viseja, caught the pride Zaman

Shoaib Malik came out with a superb innings of 62, including 7 fours and two sixes.

Shaheen Shah Afridi gave Qalandars the fifth wicket and Gregory was out for 155, who scored 8 runs.


Haider Ali played a superb innings of 69 and gave Dilbar Hussain a wicket total of 163 runs. His innings included four fours and four sixes.

Shaheen Shah Afridi dismissed Wahab Riaz, who was his third wicket.

On the last ball of the innings, Lahore lost another opportunity to take another wicket, Brethwaite ran for a second run, then Harris Rauf could run them out, but the ball went out of his grasp, yet Sohail had another chance. They gave the ball to Ben Dink, who was ready to run out for Hassan Ali, but Harris delayed which saw Duncan, who was ready behind the wicket, threw the ball.

Zalmi Peshawar scored 187 for 7 in the stipulated overs.

Carlos Braithwaite scored 16 and Hassan Ali scored 7.

Shaheen Shah Afridi got the most 3 wickets from Lahore Qalandars, while Patel took 2 wickets.
Lahore Qalandars followed the target confidently and scored 12 runs in the first over of Hassan Ali, after which Fakhr Zaman and Captain Sohail Akhtar scored 50 runs in the partnership.

Sohail Akhtar loses his wicket in an attempt to run fast between the wickets by 21 runs.

After that, Proud and Chris Lynn started careful batting, which later turned aggressive and formed a good partnership.

Fakhrzman completed his half-century with a six and a sixth in an over by Rahat Ali.

Chris Lin was out for 59, while the Lahore Qalandars had a 146-run stand but they had established a 96-run partnership with Proud Zaman.

Fakhr Zaman played the biggest 63-run innings and Wahab Riaz came out with a catch to Yasir Shah.


Veteran batsman Mohammad Hafeez once again failed and scored 4 runs off 4 balls at a time when he needed to play aggressively.

Ben Dunk also failed to repeat the performance of the previous match and only made seven runs and Carlos Brathwaite caught the ball for Benton. At that time Qalandars had a 160 and needed 28 runs to win.

The Lahore Qalandars needed eight runs to win in the last over, but Brathwaite only gave up one run on the opening two balls, but David Vise struck a brilliant ball with a six.

 Earlier, the Lahore Qalandars won the toss and decided to field first, and Chris Lynn and Harris Rauf returned to the team, while the match was crucial for reaching the play-off stage.
