In the 17th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020, Islamabad United showed a brilliant game in bowling after bowling, defeating the Lahore Qalandars by an easy 71 runs.
Lahore Qalandars captain Sohail Akhtar won the toss and decided to bowl first in the 17th match of the event played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.Openers Colin Monroe and Luke Ronak gave Islamabad United a brilliant start, setting up a partnership of over 100 runs.

On the occasion, Colin Ingram and Colin Monroe continued to increase the score by scoring 46 runs, Ingram came out after scoring 29 runs.
From the other end, Monroe continued his excellent game with an unbeaten 87-run knock off 59 balls with 3 sixes and eight fours, allowing United to set up a 198-run stand for the loss of 3 wickets in the stipulated overs. Smita Patel also played an unnecessary shot in an aggressive batting effort, scoring just 6 runs, while Qalandar's five wickets fell to 69 runs, after which Mohammad Faizan also scored 6 runs.

Islamabad's Colin Monroe was named the best player of the match.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Lahore Qalandars captain Sohail Akhtar said that it would be possible to get a target of 180 runs on this wicket and we will try to restrict Islamabad to the minimum.
'We have made two changes to the team and have replaced Salman Butt and Usman Shinwari as part of the final XI, in place of Fakhr Zaman,' he said.
Shadab Khan said that in case of winning the toss, we would bowl as well as in the night the role of dew is also played.
Islamabad United made three changes to their squad, replacing Fahim Ashraf, Musa Khan and Ahmed Safi Abdullah as Hussein Talat, Zafar Gohar and Akif Javed as part of the final XI.
Both teams were comprised of these players for the match.
