Football ISL :Corona virus fear: ISL final may be held in closed doors

The sixth match of the sixth season of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL), played between two-time champions ATK and Chennaiyin FC in Goa on Saturday (March 14), can be held between closed doors without spectators. This may be because the Ministry of Sports has advised all national federations that any tournament in the country should be held between closed doors amid threats of coronovirus.

The Sports Ministry was quoted in a letter issued by the Government of India as saying, 'State governments have powers under the Pandemic Diseases Act (Pandemic Act of 1897) to deal with coronaviruses.'

The letter further states, 'All of you are advised to follow the guidelines and advice issued by the Ministry of Health. We have also told them to avoid any public meeting and if a sports tournament is to be held, it should be held without people between closed doors. ”

The letter has been sent to other national federations including the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Amid this advice issued by the government, the organizers of the ISL final can now officially announce it in the next few hours.

After this advice issued by the government, it is now clear that if the BCCI also organizes the Indian Premier League (IPL), then it will have to organize this tournament without an audience and hence this tournament will now be held between closed doors Can be played.
