Pakistan Super League Season Five: Which player
will play in which team?
Less than a week has
passed since the fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League began. While there
are a lot of new players to be added this season, there are some players who
will be playing for the Season Four by another team instead of the former team.
All six teams included in the fifth edition of the PSL released a total of 90 players, many of whom will now represent the new team.
Lahore Qalandars is the largest team to release players while the Karachi Kings have replaced the youngest nine players who have played the 2019 edition.
The players who have joined the team for the PSL 2020 are Alex Hales, Ann Bell, Mohamed Sami, Colin Ingram, Mohammed Rizwan, Ravi Bopara, Brandon Taylor, Carlos Berthwaite, Harris Sohail, Sahibzada. Farhan, Sandeep Limechan, Yasir Shah, Dan Christian, Hamad Azam, Joe Denley, Nicholas Purn, Andre Fletcher, Chris Jordan, David Milan, Landal Simmons, Time Mills, Anwar Ali, Dwayne Bravo, Dwayne Smith, Riley Rono Rosso and Sohel Are.

They include Alex Hales, Cameron Delport, Wayne Parnell, Roman Reyes, Chedok Walton, Ann Bell, Smith Patel, Mohammad Sami, Nasir Nawaz, Philip Salt, Sahibzada Farhan, Waqas Maqsood, Zafar Gohar and Zahir Khan.
Shadab Khan, Fahim Ashraf, Asif Ali, Luke Ronak, Hussein Talat, Emad Butt, Musa Khan and Rizwan Hussein are the players who will be part of Islam United team this time.
Karachi Kings
Babar Azam, Mohammad Amir, Emad Wasim, Iftikhar Ahmed, Aamir Yamin, Usman Mir and Omar Khan were part of the Karachi Kings last season. The same players will be seen playing for Karachi Kings in Season Five.
However, the number of players who have been replaced by the Karachi Kings is nine. Such players include Colin Ingram, Sikandar Raza, Sohail Khan Aaron Summers, Abrar Ahmed, Ali Imran, Owais Zia and Ben Donk, when an Usman Shinwari was part of the Karachi Kings in Season Four. But this time he will be played by the Lahore Qalandars.
Lahore Qalandars
The Lahore Qalandars players who are being tested this time include Fakhr Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez, Shaheen Shah Afridi, David Waves, Harris Rauf, Sohail Akhtar and Salman Butt.
Three players playing fourth edition by Lahore Qalandars are not available this year. These include AB de Villiers, Corey Anderson and Ryan Dzodochite.
The team has been changed to 20 players. The players include Aga Salman, Izaz Cheema, Anton Deutsch, Essela Gunarton, Brendan Taylor, Carlos Berthwaite, Gohar Ali, Heard's Velizon, Harris Sohail, Hassan Khan, Mohammed Imran, Rahat Ali, Ricky Wessels, Saad Ali, Sandeep Lamachade, Omar And Yasser Shah.
Multan Sultan
Multan Sultan Mohammad Irfan, James Vince, Junaid Khan, Ali Shafiq, Sean Masood and new players Muhammad Elias are part of the squad while there are 18 players who have been replaced.
The players to be replaced include Andre Russell, Chris Green, Dan Christian, Hamad Azam, Joe Denley, Johnson Charles, Lori Evans, Irfan Khan, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Junaid, Nicholas Purn, Noman Ali, Qais Ahmed, Shakeel Ansar, Steve Smith, Tom Morris and Omar Siddique.
Peshawar Zalmi
The players who have been retained in the Peshawar Zalmi squad include Hassan Ali, Kieron Pollard, Wahab Riaz, Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal, Darren Sammy, Imamul Haq and Omar Amin.
The 15 players who have been switched to Season Four and Season Five include Andre Fletcher, Chris Jordan, David Milan, Parsam Sheikh, Jamal Anwar, Khalid Usman, Landal Simmons, Misbah-ul-Haq, Nabi Gul, Sameen Gul, Sahib Maqsood, Time Mills, Azeem Asif, Waqar Salam Khel and Wayne Madsen

Quetta Gladiators has also replaced 15 players with new players. The names of Anwar Ali, Danish Aziz, Dwayne Brau, Devine Smith, Fawad Ahmed, Ghulam Mudassar, Harry Garley, Jalad Khan, Wax Waller, Mohammad Asghar, Mohammad Azam Khan, Mohammad Irfan Junior, Riley Rosso, Saud Shakil and Sohail Tanveer Included.
