Ufone announces to provide free WhatsApp service


Telecom company Ufone has announced to provide WhatsApp service free of cost to consumers in the wake of lockdown across Pakistan.


In a message on Twitter, the company wrote that 'in these difficult times, WhatsApp is being provided free of charge to consumers so that people can stay in touch with their loved ones'.

This facility will be available for prepaid customers across Pakistan.

Use the free WhatsApp, which includes video and voice calls, by dialing * 987 # for this purpose.

In addition to the WhatsApp, Ufone has introduced online services for its customers.
Customers can recharge the balance through the 'My Ufone' app or they can do so by visiting the Ufone site.

It is to be noted that despite the lockdown across the country, a series of new corona cases could not be stopped and the total number of affected persons in different parts of the country increased to 1,500.

On March 28, 29 more cases of Corona virus were reported in Sindh, followed by 469 in the province.

In the country's largest province of Punjab, 67 new cases of Corona virus were reported, followed by 557 in the province.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa confirms eight more cases

With this increase, the total number of cases in the province has increased to 188.

According to Balochistan Health Directorate Corona Virus Cell spokesperson, on Saturday, five new Corona virus patients were exposed, bringing the total to 138.

In Islamabad, 12 new cases emerged, bringing the total number of victims to 39.

The number of newcomers to Gilgit Baltistan is 16, after which there have been 107 victims.
