In the crucial match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020, Lahore Qalandars qualified for the semi-finals for the first time by defeating Multan Sultanz by 9 wickets thanks to Chris Lynn's brilliant century.

In the match played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Qalandars won the toss and decided to bowl first and invited Multan Sultans to bat first.


Multan Sultans started the innings so in the first over, Shaheen Shah Afridi gave his team a breakthrough, scattering Moin Ali's wickets.
Yet the Sultans were not able to handle the loss that Zeeshan Ashraf returned to the pavilion in the next over.

 Shan Masood and Ravi Bopara came on to the wicket after falling 2 wickets for 4 runs and both players added 75 runs in the third wicket partnership.

The partnership ended with David Vieja ending his 42-run innings by Sultan's captain Sean Masood.
Ravi Bopara did not tolerate his teammates and he also became the second wicket-keeper after scoring 33 runs.

After falling 5 wickets for 91 runs in 13 overs, the Sultans looked in trouble, but at this stage, the batsman changed the match map by showing an aggressive play.

Roheel Nazir made his team's first innings score in the 15th over, and after that, the good-natured rain-hit, with Rohail Nazir scoring 74 runs for 36 runs, was the only one in which Heil's share was 24 runs.

Sultans made 186 runs for 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and Multan Sultans added 77 runs in the last 5 overs.The Sultans' khushal Shah performed superb betting, scoring an unbroken 70 runs with 6 sixes and 5 fours on 29 balls. 

Chris Lynn and Proud Zaman landed on the field to chase a target from the Lahore Qalandars.
Both openers have taken aggressive form from the outset and rained down six boundaries, taking notice of all the Multan Sultans bowlers.
Fakhr and Lynn gave their team the best start of 100 runs, after which they were stumped in the last ball of the 9th over to get out of the crease, scoring 57 off 35 balls before being dismissed.


From the second end, Chris Lin's aggressive betting continued and established a great partnership with captain Sohail Akhtar to pave the way for his team's victory.

The Australian batsman produced the best game, scoring 12 runs and 8 sixes on 55 balls.

Lahore Qalandars won by 9 wickets and made it to the semi-finals of the Pakistan Super League for the first time where they will likely face the Karachi Kings.

Earlier, Multan Sultans made several changes to their team to give Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Irfan, Sohail Tannoir and Imran Tahir a chance to rest.

Both teams were in the same group for the match.
