At least seven people
were killed and 19 injured in a blast near a press club on the Shariah Court in
Quetta.
Balochistan government spokesman Liaquat Shahwani confirmed the death of seven people.
Quetta Civil Hospital spokesman Waseem Baig said 19 people were injured as a result of the blast.
According to police, several vehicles were also damaged in the blast and the demonstration was underway at the time of the blast, but no progress has been made regarding the nature of the blast.

Earlier, on January 10, at least 15 people, including Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Amanullah, were killed and 19 were injured in an explosion at a mosque in the town of Quetta.
Police said the explosion occurred during a prayer at a mosque and madrassa in Ghousabad, a suburb of Satellite Town.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Quetta Abdul Razzaq Cheema confirmed the death of DSP Amanullah in the blast.
