Quetta Gladiators defeated Islamabad United by 5 wickets in a thrilling contest in the Pakistan Super League.
Quetta Gladiators started the innings, while openers Jason Rowe and Shane Watson gave the team a 41-run start.



Jason Rowe kept the second end but Ahmed Shahzad hit two sixes and stumped his ball in the third sixth attempt.
Man of the match in last match Azam Khan failed this time and Ahmed Safi could not secure wickets on Abdullah's ball.

Jason Rowe scored a half-century, but soon after that he was caught on the boundary trying to hit a six.

Captain Sarfraz Ahmed's innings also ended with a total of 133 runs and he returned to the pavilion by 33 runs.

Veteran Ben Cutting then struck out aggressively on the occasion and crossed the Quetta boat on the fourth ball of the last over.

He scored 42 runs in just 17 balls while Mohammad Nawaz remained unbeaten on 25.

Thus, Quetta reached the target of 188 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the last over.

Islamabad's Fahim Ashraf and Ahmed Safi Abdullah shared 2 wickets while Shadab Khan took one wicket.

Ben Cutting was named best player of the match for outstanding performances.

Earlier, Islamabad United started batting at the invitation of Quetta Gladiators. Luke Ravnak struck the ball for the first two balls and showed dangerous ambitions but in the next over, Naseem Shah smashed his wickets.

David Milan scored 10 runs only when Naseem Shah bowled him and forced him to return to the pavilion.


Colin Monroe once again appeared in dangerous form but after beating Mohammed Hussein again, he was caught on the boundary again, scoring 31 runs with 3 sixes and two fours.


After falling three wickets, Colin Ingram and captain Shadab Khan stepped up the team's score and played a vital role in giving Quetta a big target.

Both players set up an excellent partnership of 76 runs, after which Shadab Khan scored 39 runs and caught a total of 132.

Colin Ingram, on the other hand, continued his aggressive batting and contributed to the team's total of 187 runs in the stipulated overs, despite occasional wickets.
Islamabad made it to the loss of 7 wickets, and its other outgoing players included Asif Ali, Emad Butt and Fahim Ashraf, who scored 15, 6 and 4 respectively.

Ingram scored 63 not out with 6 fours and two sixes.

Quetta got two wickets for Naseem Shah and Time Mills, while Mohammad Hasan and Ben Cutting took one wicket each.

Earlier in the second leg of the Pakistan Super League played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfraz Ahmed decided to bowl first, seeing the coin toss in his favor.

Sarfraz Ahmed said that there is little grass on the wicket and we have good bowlers too so we will try our best to take advantage of them.

Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan said it was a fresh wicket on which he would try to score more runs.

Quetta Gladiators made a change to their team, replacing Anwar Ali with Ben Cutting as part of the final XI while Islamabad United also made a change to add Romain Reyes to the team.

Both teams were comprised of these players for the match.
