Canada, Iran and England win at Kabaddi World Cup
The thrilling events of
the Kabaddi World Cup are underway in Lahore, the capital of Punjab province,
and Canada, Iran and England won their respective matches on the fourth day of
the event.
Canada defeated Azerbaijan 31-40 after an interesting match in the match played
at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Wednesday.
The remaining two matches of the day proved to be one-sided and Iran gained
valuable points by beating Germany 23-55 and England beating Sierra Leone
26-41.
In the first match, Naveen of Canada was declared the best rider while the best
stopper was Ravi Kumar of Canada.
In the match of Iran,
the best rider award was given by Meisal Muhammad and best stopper captain Ali
Safari.
Today, Iran will face India, Germany's Siran Lyon in Faisalabad, while hosts
Pakistan and Australia will compete in the last match of the day.
